Trip management and vehicle allocation for employee transport
A trip brings people, a driver, a vehicle and a route together in one place, so everyone on the route sees the same plan.
Turn rosters into trips.
Once rosters are in, the transport team creates trips from the admin web application. Each trip is a login or logout run with its own trip ID, a time, a route, a driver and a vehicle.
Admins can assign a vehicle and a driver to a trip, or drag employees into vehicle slots. Drivers then see the trip in the driver app, with each employee stop in route order, and employees see the trip in theirs.
What admins can do with trips
Vehicle and driver
Assign a vehicle and a driver to every trip.
Vehicle slots
Drag employees into vehicle slots to build the trip by hand.
Login and logout trips
Each trip has a type, a time and a trip ID that employees, drivers and admins can refer to.
Stops in route order
Drivers see every employee stop in the order of the route.
Ride with
Employees and drivers can see who else is on the trip and how many seats are used.
Shifts
The admin web application includes shifts, so the transport team can work trip by trip within a shift.
Building a trip
- 1Start from rosters. Employee rosters, or rosters uploaded by admins, show who needs to travel.
- 2Create the trip. Choose login or logout and set the time.
- 3Assign vehicle and driver. Pick the vehicle and the driver, or drag employees into vehicle slots.
- 4Share it. The trip appears in the driver app and in each employee’s app.
- 5Follow it live. Watch the vehicle on the map while the trip runs.
